First fish, Big Fish

Hi Amazing Peeps,

Well Steve did get the dinghy from Newcastle today. He took Blade as Blade knew that this was coming up and did almost everyone else’s chore for the last 2 days. We couldn’t say no to that dedication.

They left this afternoon and travelled to Newcastle, picked up the dinghy and are on their way back.

They stopped for some McDonald’s and this was sent to me at 7:25 tonight.20171003_190613

This is 2 burgers, 2 chips and 2 drinks for both Dad and Blade.

This was sent at 7:30 tonight.20171003_192449

It is unbelievable how much my oldest men eat. Blade at only 12 out eats Dad all the time. What will happen in a few years – AAAHHHHH!

While that has been happening, our little man here was trying to fish all by himself. He suddenly screamed for help and one of the others helped him reel up his first fish.20171003_171913

Then everyone wanted to fish.

We took some off sausages outside, so they were using that. Then there was a commotion outside.

Alec was grunting and complaining. Then pulls up the biggest fish ever caught on Sumbawa so far.20171003_173310

He wanted to call Dad, send a picture to Mr. Roger and Mrs. Julie from Marauder and everyone we have ever met. He wanted to tell the world. And that he did it ALL BY HIMSELF.

They both cooked them up and had fish and chips with a side of sausage rice – every boy in this family eats a tonne.

Everyone had dinner (not mum yet) and then we proceeded to talk about how babies are born. How we got onto this subject is beyond me. I hold little back and they ask more and more.

I finally said it was time to change to another topic because we are now going round in circles.

The kids then tried to fish some more but with no success. Maybe tomorrow.

Steve and Blade returned with our new dinghy. 20171003_235310It looks great!

Tomorrow we go for our outboard hunt and grocery top up before we return the ute and head to Blackwattle for a couple of days to meet with Seal, Mel & their Elegant Flower as well as Val.

We also have a package of books coming from Mr. John whom we met in Cronulla. He lives in Brisbane and is sending down a box of his much-loved sailing books. He knows that they will be loved and read till they fall apart here and they will be with great pleasure. We are super grateful.

So we have to return to Lane Cove to pick them up before heading to Northbridge.  Our motor is going to get a good workout and our batteries a good topping up.

Well enough from me. Kids are asleep as I should be. I am only having dinner now as we had a bunch on this evening. I don’t know how I made it this long without decent food.

Well time for a midnight snack and bed.

Love you all.

  1. Salamat siang, sounds like everyone is having a good time, just a word of caution some areas of Sydney harbour are very pouluted and the fish are not to be eaten from those areas also banned from Sydney fish market sales, just check with the locals they will tell you where its safe. Maurie.
