It’s Raining & We’re Stuck

Hi Amazing Peeps,

It has been cold and rainy for the last couple of days and we all have been trapped inside.
I want you to just take a moment and imagine my life in wet, cold weather. Let me help you:

Sumbawa is a 43 ft (13.1m) sailboat boat.

There are 12 persons aboard.

Of those 12 persons, 10 are under the age of 14.

7 of these persons are male : Hubby, 12, 11, 8, 7, 4 & 2 – the perfect age for sitting still or playing quietly – (insert as much sarcasm as you can).

The oldest male (Hubby) is sick in bed, yet there are still another 6 that are full of energy.

There are 5 females: Mum of Universal Awesomeness, 13, 10, 5 & 1.

The youngest girl is now walking everywhere. I am trying to wean her too and Today she was not having a bar of it.

It has rained almost non-stop for 2 days.

With all this is mind, can you imagine what it is like?

I think I can read your minds……LOL!

You are stressed with the boys have been running through the place and have an innate ability to stop of everyones toes on their way through. That number 6 & 7 decided that it is fun to play the drums with their feet against the cabin wall. Or how the youngest 2 boys will fight about everything including who can smile the biggest.

Am I right?

Are you at this point calculating that the temperature outside is colder than the water temperature, that it is only 80m to shore, the swim is worth it?

Would you believe me if I tell you that your wrong?

It may have been raining for 2 days and we may all be a little sick of it but they are truly creative kids. The things that they make and come up with are amazing.

Natasha knitted a headband, played the ukelele and built a tower in the head out of toilet paper.

Nakita cut out pictures from an old newspaper, put it in the atlas and her and Blade made small stage shows.

Alec made sails out of A4 sheets of newspaper and made a clew with sheets and everything.

Ryan made food for Dad today while the other kids drew comics and pictures and took them into Dad to make him smile.

I can’t complain about the small things when I get to see their true selves, the Creator in them!

I have been schooled!

Love Always,
Beccie
