Having a Blast

“Life is meant to be fun and joyful and fulfilling. “ Jim Henson

Hello Amazing Peeps,

My apologies for being so quiet. We have been working and having a tonne of fun on the boat.

We have finally got to repairing the Genoa. It’s a mammoth of a sail, it has just taken us forever. The plan is for it to be fully fixed by the end of the weekend and ready to put up again. We are just using a Brother sewing machine from Big W and it’s still holding together, it’s just got to do a little more. What a trooper!

Our mainsail also has needed a few patches so we have been doing that as well. The mainsail also has no telltales, so we have been making some with spare dacron and double sided tape.20170314_161610
So far, works a treat. It’s been fun too.

We have met more wonderful people here in Eden. We are starting to be recognised down the street as the family off the boat – which is pretty cool. The kids have been given an Australian Salmon from a fishing boat here named Marauder. The owners Rodger and Julie are fantastic.

The muscle farm boat Maree Eva has also given the kids 2 bags of muscles. The kids LOVE muscles – who knew. It does 1 big dinner with rice and spices and leaves just enough for Mum and Dad to have a few fried ones for breakfast the next morning – SO YUM!

I think we have all gotten a little bit crazier since being here, but the good kind.20170314_161538 We are always making each other laugh. It is awesome when we can laugh, really laugh as a family. It has definitely changed things for us for the better. I’m looking forward to more positive change.

That’s it for now. Love you all crazily and have a fantastically wonderful day.

I was fortunate enough to speak with you and some of your amazing children on the dockside at Ulladulla today. I believe what you are doing with your children is wonderful and their understanding of “Life” will be greatly enhanced by your trip. I wish you well and be safe in your travels and good health to you all.
